Carb - Tuning

Carb Farts:

The pilot circuit has an influence on the idle circuit. And the needle jet (mid range) circuit has a influence on the pilot circuit.

Off idle carb farts usually indicate a lean pilot circuit. A properly tuned carburetor will be crisp. Too rich and it gets sluggish. Too lean and it "hunts" or stumbles. To deal with carb farts you can shim your needle or go up a pilot jet size - one or the other but not both.

Keep in mind that: a LOW float level will lean out all the carb circuits, and a HIGH float level will richen all the circuits. So set your float level before setting up the carb.
